Abhishek Banerjee Moves Calcutta High Court Seeking Permission to Travel Abroad for Eye Treatment

Kolkata: Trinamool Congress national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee on Tuesday moved the Calcutta High Court, seeking permission to travel abroad for eye treatment.The application was filed before Justice Saugata Bhattacharyya, requesting approval for a stay of about one week overseas. The plea seeks relaxation of a travel restriction imposed by a single bench of the high court in connection with a case over an allegedly provocative speech made during election campaigning.
