Acer reveals lightweight Swift Air 14 and AI-focused Swift Spin 14 AI

New Delhi: Acer officially released its two latest Swift laptops, which are mainly focused on students, professionals, and everyday users. Acer has unveiled Swift Air 14 and Swift Spin 14 AI; both laptops run on the latest Intel processors, which are packed with detailed NPUs for on-device AI, and they come with Windows 11 out of the box. However, Acer has not officially confirmed pricing for India.

Aver Swift Air 14

It runs on the Intel Core Series 3 processor, which Acer and Intel are positioning as the right-sized chip for students and small business users. The platform delivers up to 40 TOPS total, with the dedicated NPU handling up to 17 TOPS for AI workloads. Battery life is rated at up to 19 hours on video playback, and the fast charging offers users to 50% in 30 minutes. It features a 14-inch WUXGA panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 100% sRGB coverage. It is also equipped with quad speakers with DTS X: Ultra spatial audio.

There is a 1080p IR camera that handles Windows Hello facial recognition, and a physical shutter lets users cut the camera off completely. Acer’s PurifiedVoice and PurifiedView handle noise cancellation and visual cleanup on video calls. It has up to 16GB LPDDR5 and up to 512GB M.2 SSD, which is upgradable up to 1TB. In terms of ports, it has 2x USB Type-C, USB 3.2 Type-A, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. In connectivity, it gets an Intel Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.

Acer Swift Spin 14 AI

It is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 386H, which is a Copilot+ class chip with up to 50 TOPS from the NPU alone and 100 platform TOPS total. In terms of battery life stretches to 26 hours on video playback, the Swift Air’s already impressive 19 hours look modest by comparison. It features a 360-degree hinge and a 14-inch WUXGA touch display, which supports an Acer Active Stylus with Wacom AES 2.0 and 4,096 pressure levels.

In terms of connectivity, it has Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, dual USB 3.2 Type-A, HDMI 2.1, and a microSD card reader. Intel also offers fast charging, which goes up to 100W DC-in, and the 5MP IR camera, which also comes with a human presence detector. It is coupled with up to 32GB DDR5 and up to 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD. In terms of ports, it has 2x Thunderbolt 4, 2x USB 3.2 Type-A, HDMI 2.1, and an audio jack.

AcerSense and Acer Intelligence Space host a bunch of tools co-developed with Intel, including Acer QR Capture, an AI Image Generator, and Video Speed Controller. The dedicated Copilot button sits on the keyboard for one-tap access to Microsoft’s AI assistant.
