Actor Kabir Sadanand launches an educational café in Goa for pets; says ‘It’s a dream fulfilled with my daughter and furry friends’

Popular actor-director Kabir Sadanand, known for his roles in shows like Kuch Kehti Hai Khamoshiyaan, Family No.1, and Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan, has always had a deep affection for animals. Now based in Goa, Kabir has turned that passion into purpose with the launch of a unique educational pet café, co-founded with his friend Anil and daughter Kahineer.Sharing the inspiration behind the venture, Kabir says, “It was the brainchild of my friend Anil. The idea to open a pet education centre has been on our minds for over three years now, and finally, in May 2025, we launched our first centre in Goa. It’s the first-of-its-kind screen-free pet education centre in India.”Kabir emphasizes the need for real-life interaction with animals in a world dominated by screens and isolated lifestyles.

“People have seen pets on screen but never felt them in reality. It’s an intimate hidden gem—a place to bond with pets and develop mutual respect and knowledge. It’s heartwarming to see the reactions when people of all ages interact with the pets.”Visitors to cafe get to play with friendly animals like hedgehogs, guinea pigs, rabbits, birds, and hamsters in a safe, joyful environment. Kabir adds, “We took inspiration from similar pet cafés and claw game centres we experienced in Japan.

Bouncing Buddies is not just an entertainment space—it’s an experience.”On working alongside his daughter, he says warmly, “It’s a great feeling to be working under your own daughter and learning with each day. Anil has been the brain and support in fulfilling a dream I’ve always harboured—to be among furry friends with unadulterated love and affection.”Known for directing films like Fugly and Tum Milo Toh Sahi, Kabir Sadanand is now nurturing love and learning—one paw at a time.
