New Delhi: Adobe has officially announced that it is shutting down its Adobe Animate. The company has stated that it will stop selling automation software on March 1. Supper for the enterprise customers will remain available until March 1, 2029, to ease the transition. Other users will continue to receive support until March next year in accordance with the company’s official statement. The decision has surprised, disappointed, and angered Animate users who are concerned about the lack of full-featured alternatives with similar functionality.

Users have until March 1, 2027, to access and download the files from Animate, as they will no longer be available after this time. This application will be available to download until those deadlines, and Adobe will continue providing support during that period. Adobe stated that the Creative Cloud Pro customers can use other applications to replace portions of Animate functionality, such as Adobe After Effects or Adobe Express. Many users who still use Animate are frustrated with its imminent shutdown.

Over the past year, Adobe has made it clear that it’s focused on AI. The company has launched a few of AI-powered editing tools across its applications, and it has rolled out an AI audio tool to add soundtracks and voiceovers to the videos. It is also working on its own IP-safe Firefly AI models for the entertainment industry.
