Sigourney Weaver opens up about ‘Alien: Earth’
In an interview with People, the veteran actress revealed what she thought of the new addition to the ‘Alien’ franchise. The actress was attending the Toronto International Film Festival on September 8 while promoting her latest project, ‘Dust Bunny’. She shared during the interview that, "What I admire about it is the scope is so much more profound than just an Alien movie. It's about our world and what's dominating the world in 100 years, and to me it's right on”. She also added that she is loving how Noah Hawley, the creator of the new show, is adding something refreshing to the show. She elaborated on the matter, saying, "All these things are so remarkable, and they're just building and building and building. And the monsters that he's also bringing in are just terrifying. It's like, we don't have enough problems with the alien, we need 50 more, I can't believe I'm watching TV”.Weaver has featured in around 4 ‘Alien’ films, from the first film in 1979 to one of the last films in 1997. The new series features aliens, predators, hybrids, cyborgs, cybernetically-enhanced humans, synthetics, AI beings, and much more. It is set two years before the events of the original ‘Alien’ film’s plot, and provides a new and extensive look for the viewers into the sci-fi universe.
