The evening session of the All-India Inter-University Netball (Women) Tournament 2025-26 at Maris Stella College, Vijayawada, was marked by spirited contests and vibrant cultural celebrations on Sunday (February 15, 2026).
The tournament began on Saturday (February 14) with 55 university teams from across the country participating in the five-day event organised by the Krishna University. The event is being conducted on a knock-out-cum-league basis under the supervision of Netball Association of India.
Telugu Desam Party’s NTR district president Gadde Anuradha, along with Vice-Chancellor of Krishna University K. Ramji and Rector M. Basaveswara Rao, attended the campfire event. Maris Stella College Principal Sr. Inyasamma, introduced the players of the teams from the University of Calicut and Punjabi University, setting the stage for an evening of both competition and camaraderie.
At the campfire, participants from across regions showcased their rich traditions through music and dance performances. The event highlighted the unity of India’s universities, blending competitive sportsmanship with cultural expression and artistic talent.
In the evening match, TNPE University, Chennai, beat Rani Chinnamma University 36–19, Savitribhai Phule University, Pune, edged MGU Kottayam 48–43, RTMNU, Maharashtra, defeated Devi Ahilya University, Indore, 47–31, Sports University of Haryana, Sonipat, beat Bangalore University 43–38, Hemchand Yadav Vishwavidyalaya, Durg (CG) outclassed KBCNMU Jalgaon (MH) 43–18, APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University advanced via walkover, Bangalore University beat Dr. Rammanohar Lohia Avadh University 36–05, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur, dominated Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal 60–24, Davangere University advanced via walkover, Krishna University, Andhra Pradesh defeated JNTU-Hyderabad 42–27, Sarvajanik University, Surat, advanced via walkover, Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Ramtek, outplayed Utkal University, Odisha 53–18, University of Kerala overcame Bharathidasan University 44–24, Mangalore University beat Gondwana University, Gadchiroli 34–04, Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak (PB) secured a decisive 43–11 win over Tumkur University, Karnataka, and University of Calicut won over Punjabi University, Patiala, by 56-26.
