An amusement park in Mysuru has announced a cut of 50 per cent in the tickets for senior citizens.
GRS Fantasy Park, in a statement here, said the new pricing has taken effect from Tuesday. “Seniors now pay ₹ 649 at the park, compared with the rate for an adult of ₹ 1,297. The same 50% reduction applies at GRS UpDown, GRS Snow Park, and GRS Selfie Factory,” the statement said.
The new pricing was inaugurated at the park on Tuesday by five grandparent customers who were visiting the amusement park with their families at the time. They were invited to serve as guests of honour and cut the ribbon together at the park entrance.
The discount is available to anyone aged 60 and above on production of a valid original photo ID at the ticket counter, the statement said.
“Children come back to their grandparents’ homes in Mysuru every summer, and we’ve been seeing more of those families walk into GRS together,” said Balakrishna Kini, Operations Head, GRS Fantasy Park. “We have also seen groups of just grandparents bringing the children in, with no parents along,” he said.
