Anugrah Narayan College, in collaboration with the Society for Indoor Environment, organized a national seminar focusing on the crucial topics of Indoor Environmental Quality and its impact on health. This event saw the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at future joint research projects.
Patna: Anugrah Narayan College, in collaboration with the Society for Indoor Environment (SIE), organised a one-day national seminar on “Indoor Environmental Quality” at S N Sinha Auditorium on Thursday.
The seminar aimed to bring together experts, academicians, researchers and students to discuss challenges and sustainable solutions related to indoor air quality and environmental health, in line with the multidisciplinary approach of NEP 2020.The programme began with floral tributes and lighting of the lamp. Principal Prof Rekha Rani delivered the welcome address, while seminar convener Prof Tripti Gangwar spoke on the relevance of indoor environment studies.Key lectures were delivered by SIE president Rakesh Kumar on the “Indoor-Outdoor Dilemma” and SIE co-founder Priyanka Kulshrestha on linking environmental science with public health policy.Distinguished guests included RK Shukla, director, CGWB. A major highlight was the announcement of an MoU between the college and SIE for collaborative research and awareness initiatives. Sixteen research papers were presented, and around 200 participants attended the event.
Oath-taking ceremony: An oath-taking ceremony for the newly elected student council was held at Carmel High School on Thursday, marked by enthusiasm and discipline on the campus. The programme began with a prayer session followed by lighting of the ceremonial lamp.In her address, principal Sr Mridula emphasised the importance of student leadership and urged the council members to discharge their duties with honesty and dedication. The newly elected office-bearers, including the head girl, house captains and council members, were administered the oath of office, pledging to uphold school rules and maintain discipline. The ceremony also featured a thanksgiving song by students.
Student leader Ashi Singh proposed the vote of thanks.
