Udupi: Anant Ambani, businessman and noted philanthropist, Sunday visited Kollur Sri Mookambika temple and offered prayers. He arrived at Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) in a special flight and travelled by road to the temple, dressed in a white South Indian panche and shalya.Temple committee president Babu Shetty said Ambani reached the temple around 7.30pm, offered prayers, and spent nearly 30 minutes there. “The committee accorded him a warm welcome and honoured him as part of its tradition,” he said.“The divine power of Mookambika Temple draws devotees from every corner of the globe. Founded by Sri Adi Shankaracharya over 1,200 years ago, this sacred site holds a profound spiritual legacy,” he added.Temple authorities said Ambani’s scheduled visit on Saturday was cancelled due to bad weather in Mumbai.On Friday, Tamil Nadu chief minister CP Vijay offered a silver sword to Goddess Mookambika at the temple during his visit.
