Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday directed officials to make government services more accessible to the public and facilitate the registration of complaints related to citizen services through the Mana Mithra WhatsApp platform.

Reviewing the Real Time Governance (RTG) system at the Secretariat, Mr. Naidu said citizen services should be further simplified to improve public access. Officials informed him that 11 categories of services were being streamlined in the first phase.

The Chief Minister also instructed officials to make the public grievance redressal system more user-friendly by formally accepting voice messages as complaints.

Emphasising the importance of seamless digital connectivity, Mr. Naidu directed officials to ensure uninterrupted mobile network coverage across the State and resolve connectivity issues in nearly 3,000 identified locations within the next three months.

During the meeting, officials made a presentation on Navachetana, the Early Childhood Development Screening programme being implemented by the Department of Women and Child Welfare to identify mental and physical developmental issues among children. So far, 33,949 children have been screened across the State.

Later, the Chief Minister visited the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) Centre along with CII Director General Chandrajit Banerjee and other CII representatives.

IT Secretary Katamaneni Bhaskar briefed the delegation on the functioning of the RTGS Centre and the use of advanced technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, in governance.

Mr. Naidu urged the CII representatives to expedite the establishment of the CII Global Leadership Centre in Amaravati.

Chief Secretary G. Sai Prasad, DGP Harish Kumar Gupta and senior officials from various departments attended the review meeting.
