Andhra University marks Ambedkar’s 135th birth anniversary

Andhra University (AU) celebrated the 135th birth anniversary of Dr B.R. Ambedkar on Monday at the Gautama Buddha Auditorium, AU Engineering College, drawing attention from a large number of students.

G. Singaiah, Vice-Chancellor of Birangana Sati Sadhani Rajyik University, described Dr. B.R. Ambedkar as a visionary committed to social justice and urged the youth to uphold his ideals. Meanwhile, former Vice-Chancellor of Acharya Nagarjuna University, V. Balamohan Das, called for introspection on individual contributions to society.
