The annual examination-1 for SSLC students will be held from March 18, and a total of 9,02,889 students from 15,941 high schools have registered for the examination across the State.
On Wednesday, first language Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, English and Sanskrit exams will be held at 2,871 examination centres from 10 a.m. to 1.15 p.m.
Like the previous year, the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) will web stream the examination process from all centres, to prevent malpractices.
Tight police security will be maintained at all exam centres. All types of electronic devices, including mobile phones, smart watches, earphones are prohibited inside the centres. The use of mobile phones is prohibited for officers and staff involved in security work and examination duty. Only the chief of the examination centre will be allowed to use basic mobile phones without camera facility.
The KSEAB also instructed students to follow the dress code prescribed by the educational institutions based on the directions of the Supreme Court. All Road Transport Corporations (RTCs) of the State will provide free bus service for students attending exams. They can travel free of cost by showing their ID cards and admission cards on the day of the examination.
