St. Philomena’s College (Autonomous) observed the National Anti-Terrorism Day at its premises in Mysuru on Thursday.

The highlight of the programme, organised to spread awareness among students about the dangers of terrorism and promote the values of peace, unity, harmony, and national integration, was a message delivered by Lt. Col. Sathish B.S. (Retd.), who had served the Indian Army between 1996 and 2017.

In his anti-terrorism message, Lt. Col. Sathish emphasised the role of the youth in building a peaceful and progressive society.

As part of the programme, certificates were distributed to the winners of the Youth Red Cross Day competitions. Principal Ravi J.D. Saldanha administered the anti-terrorism oath to the students and the staff, reaffirming their commitment to oppose all forms of violence and to work towards maintaining unity and integrity in the nation.
