'Anupamaa' written update 9th April: Anupama refuses to change the report

'Anupamaa' opens with Paritosh saying that wherever Anupama goes, drama follows, but in the same breath, admitting that she always stands on the side of truth. He salutes her for the decision she is about to make, telling her she will even have Gautam's support because Gautam cannot stand the thought of Prem and Rahi getting settled.

Mahi says exactly that. Pakhi asks Anupama to simply write the report in Prem and Rahi's favour and end the matter. Ansh says nobody has the right to pressure her. Hasmuk tells everyone she is doing her job. Leela asks Anupama to think about Rahi and Prem's future and not create trouble before she leaves. Jassi says plainly that Anupama is incapable of cheating in her work.

The pressure builds from every side

Vasundhara moves in with a different kind of pressure. She asks Anupama whether she plans to break Rahi and Prem's dream.

She points out that Prem himself believes Anupama understands him better than anyone, and then asks how Anupama can lock the restaurant she came to inaugurate. She tells Anupama plainly: if she submits a report against Prem, she will be the one who killed his dream, and the blame will rest on her shoulders.

Hasmuk fires back, telling Vasundhara that Anupama is simply performing her duty and carries no blame for doing so.

Vasundhara and Hasmuk argue. Pakhi asks Hasmuk whose side he is on. Paritosh, true to form, says he will stand wherever the benefit is greatest.Prem steps forward and pleads to Anupama directly. He tells her he can correct his mistake and will be more careful going forward. He asks her not to write the report against him. Rahi watches from the side, thinking she cannot bear to see Anupama in this position, but says nothing.

Anupama reads her silence and understands it completely.

Digvijay and the question about Joshi Ben

At Saavi Villa, Digvijay is watching Saavi's old videos and gets emotional when she mentions Joshi Ben, calling her an inspiration. Banku tells Digvijay he still believes Anupama and Joshi Ben are the same person. Digvijay says anyone could cook well and share the same title. Banku asks him directly: if it is proved that Anupama is Joshi Ben, will he call her back to run Saavi's café? Digvijay does not answer.

Anupama makes her decision

Vasundhara asks Anupama why she is silent when she normally never stops talking. Anupama tells her the situation is difficult. Leela tells Vasundhara to go home and assures her Anupama will fix things. Anupama asks how Leela can make that decision for her. Leela says Anupama cannot go against Prem. Anupama turns to Prem and asks him what he would have done in her place. She turns to Rahi and asks the same question. She tells them both that she cannot overlook Prem's serious mistake of not checking the gas pipe leakage.

Vasundhara tells her to simply change the report and end it. Anupama says it is not that simple.In the other room, Anil tells Khyati and Meeta that Prem is like a son to Anupama, and she will not go against him. Gautam speaks against Anupama. Khyati tells him to be quiet. Gautam thinks to himself that Anupama is stubborn and will definitely destroy Prem's dream. He is quietly pleased.Anupama gathers herself and speaks. She says that whether in work or in relationships, she has always been loyal, and this time will be no different. She will not change the report. The company will make its decision, and she cannot be held responsible for doing her job honestly. Vasundhara turns on her and asks what kind of mother she is. Rahi steps forward without hesitation and tells everyone that Anupama is the best mother in the world.

Anupama stands there, emotional and unbroken.
