Are Carlos Alcaraz And Emma Raducanu In A Relationship? Chris Evert Says 'I'm So Glad...'

There's a social media frenzy over rumours of tennis superstars Carlos Alcaraz and Emma Raducanu dating but Chris Evert has rejected the claims.

Amid the social media frenzy over tennis superstars Carlos Alcaraz and Emma Raducanu dating, the legendary Chris Evert has flatly rejected the linkup while reacting to the comparisons being made to her past relationship with Jimmy Connors.

The presence of Raducanu in the stands during Alcaraz’s victory over Novak Djokovic during the Wimbledon Championships earlier this year added fuel to the fire.

However, Evert says the two aren’t dating.

“No (comparison with her and Connors), because they’re (Alcaraz and Raducanu) not having a relationship. I’m so glad I came up in the ’70s, not in this day and age. Because, I mean, jeez, you’re controversial and talked about no matter what you do," Evert told ESPN.

Raducanu On Queries Over Her Personal Life

In an interview, Raducanu had reacted to the never-ending queries over her personal life, admitting it has become part of her life.

“I guess it comes with the territory, people being so curious. I think they’re more curious about this news than any tennis results and tennis news. But I just keep to myself, my private life to one side. It’s always funny when people try to find something out, but I try not to read into it so much," Raducanu told The Guardian.

The intrusiveness isn’t just limited to queries though. In the past, the former US Open champion has been dealing with stalkers with one being arrested and then given a five-year restraining order. Then there was another person who was banned from purchasing Wimbledon tickets after following the British tennis player across four countries.

“After the Dubai incident, that was probably the worst [public attention] I’ve had," she says. “I remember straight afterwards, I found it very difficult going out. I definitely had a bit of a leftover lag effect. But I’ve been a lot more astute, a lot more, I’d say, safe and I have someone with me. I don’t really go out on my own as much. No solo walks. Just always having someone watching my back," Raducanu said.
