Assam Police Constable recruitment 2025: Eligibility criteria
Candidates must fulfil both educational and age requirements to be eligible for registration.Educational qualification
- Unarmed Branch (UB): Higher Secondary (Class 12) pass from a recognised board
- Armed Branch (AB): High School Leaving Certificate (Class 10) pass
Age limit
- Minimum age: 18 years (as on 1 January 2026)
- Maximum age: 25 years
Only candidates meeting the prescribed educational qualifications and age criteria will be allowed to apply.
Assam Police Constable recruitment 2025: Selection process
The selection process will be conducted in multiple stages. Aspirants should be prepared for the following:
- Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Written examination (objective type), covering arithmetic, reasoning and mental ability, general awareness with a focus on Assam’s history, geography, politics and economy, and general English
- The written examination paper will be available in Assamese, Bodo, Bengali, and English
- Academic score weightage for Unarmed Branch candidates based on Higher Secondary marks
- Oral / Viva-Voce, where applicable
The final merit list will be prepared based on cumulative performance in the PET, written examination, academic marks and viva-voce.
