Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said the four-month-long war in West Asia resulted in disruption in the supply of fuel, fertiliser and food while pointing out that the conflict’s impact will continue.

Addressing the G7 outreach summit in Evian, PM Modi said, “The disruptions in fuel, fertiliser and food supply chains caused by the crisis in West Asia will continue to impact the Global South for a considerable period."

He also urged international financial institutions to help the “most vulnerable countries" as they “should not be left to bear the burden of crises alone".
