Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, on Friday criticised the proposed women’s reservation framework, calling it a “shameful act" and alleging that it is aimed at altering India’s electoral map rather than empowering women.
Speaking during the special session of Parliament, Gandhi said, “The first truth is that this is not a women’s bill. This has nothing to do with the empowerment of women. This is an attempt to change the electoral map of India."
