Auto rickshaw driver arrested for sexual harassment

Chennai: A 54-year-old autorickshaw driver was arrested by Teynampet police for sexually harassing a 27-year-old woman passenger on Tuesday. On Tuesday evening, the woman, hailing from Arunachal Pradesh, boarded the auto of V Srinivasa Rao, 54, of Royapettah, to travel from Mylapore to Teynampet.

At the end of the trip, when she was getting out of the vehicle, Srinivasa Rao allegedly kissed her hand. Based on her complaint, the police arrested him, and he was later remanded in judicial custody.
