The series that has been cooking since the first season, ‘The Bear,’ has a fanbase that hopes the sizzling chemistry of Sydney and Carmy turns out to be a fairytale come true. Ayo Edebiri has finally decided to comment on it, and she firmly believes that it won’t be happening – ever.
Ayo Edebiri doesn't believe Sydney and Carmy belong together
The 29-year-old opened up about how the passion that gets translated into multiple awe moments, but both of the characters are just doing their profession. “I feel like we've been saying since [season] one, but I don't know if people are starting to believe us now. I do think that like there's something about seeing people where they're really passionate or where they're excelling at something, it can feel exciting and charged,” the comedian said in an interview with
Vanity Fair
. While there have been no insane romantic changes in the script, Edebiri reckons that if Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) and Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) were to be together… the restaurant would blow up in three seconds. “I don't know, my job is to do the thing, and then how you interpret it is how you interpret it,” she said, highlighting that the tropes certainly revolve around in the heads. Citing that Sydney is a bad communicator and Carmy is crazy, the actress said that the romantic leads won’t be happening in the show they’re making.

Meanwhile, when asked about whether Sydney and Luca (Will Poulter) would be together with their chemistry in ‘The Bear,’ she said that they are just two Libras who are having conversations. “Who's to say, I don't have the scripts,” she added.
