The Miami Heat registered a dominant 132–101 victory over the Washington Wizards on Sunday at Capital One Arena. The 31-point margin highlights Miami's dominance on both ends of the court, but the game’s most discussed moment that had the entire arena and Heat Fans in a fit occurred during the second quarter when three-time All-Star Bam Adebayo posterized his own teammate, second-year Kel’el Ware.
After a missed midrange jumper by Davion Mitchell, Adebayo soared from the baseline to secure a one-handed dunk, while crashing mid-air into the 7-foot Ware, who was also in the position for the rebound. That friendly fire between the team’s veteran and young quickly went viral, prompting a humorous response from the Heat captain. Adebayo later quoted a video of the play on social media, writing, "Anybody got the photo? Ima put it in his locker lol.
