Banned tobacco products seized

The police on Friday (July 3, 2026) seized a huge cache of banned tobacco products concealed in a secret chamber inside a house at Sulthan Bathery in Wayanad. The Sulthan Bathery police arrested Harris, 39, of Beenachi in connection with the case.

During the inspection, the police recovered around 6,400 sachets of banned tobacco products. The contraband, packed in around 10 sacks, had been hidden in a specially constructed chamber beneath the bedroom floor.
