Bengaluru shocker: Flipkart delivery executive arrested for sexually harassing woman inside her flat

BENGALURU: A Flipkart delivery agent has been arrested after a woman alleged that he forced his way into her flat and exposed himself inside her home, police said on Sunday. Police said a case was registered at Marathahalli Police Station based on a complaint filed by a woman against the delivery agent.According to news agency ANI, the accused has been identified as Vijay Mallikarjun Kamath.The case (No. 345/2026) has been registered under Sections 75, 79 and 329(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The accused has been arrested and legal proceedings have been initiated.In a post shared on social media, the woman said the delivery agent arrived to deliver a parcel before asking if he could use her toilet.She alleged that she repeatedly refused his request and told him she did not allow strangers inside her home.

She said she even suggested that he seek help from her male neighbours as it was an emergency but claimed he ignored her objections, removed his slippers and walked into her flat without permission.The woman alleged that after using the washroom, the delivery agent exposed himself to her, leaving her feeling shocked, violated and unsafe inside her own home.She said a clear refusal should have ended the interaction and that no one had the right to disregard her boundaries or enter her home without her consent.

Recalling the incident, she said she feared for her safety throughout. She said she switched on her phone's camera, kept the front door open and stayed near the entrance because she was afraid she might need to run outside and seek help if the situation escalated.An investigation is underway.
