Caution Advised in Vulnerable Areas

The IMD has advised residents to remain cautious, especially in areas prone to waterlogging, falling trees or sudden weather changes. Lightning activity remains a concern during such conditions, particularly in open spaces.

People in hilly districts such as Kodagu and Chikkamagaluru have been asked to stay alert due to the possibility of sudden heavy rain and reduced visibility. Coastal regions may also witness gusty winds affecting fishing and related activities.

This development indicates a gradual expansion of rainfall activity across Karnataka, with interior regions including Bengaluru likely to see increasing cloud cover and intermittent showers over the next few days.

For now, the state is set for a mix of cloudy skies, rain spells and thunderstorms tomorrow, marking a clear transition towards a wetter weather phase.
