Bhabanipur Election Result 2026: Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee is leading in early trends in the Bhabanipur seat as the counting of votes for the 2026 West Bengal election is underway.

Banerjee is facing Suvendu Adhikari, Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal assembly and one of the biggest faces of the BJP in the state. Pradip Prasad from Congress is also in fray in Bhabanipur.

As the BJP leads in the seat tally in early trends, Adhikari expressed optimism that his party is going to form the government.

Bhabanipur Seat

Mamata Banerjee moved to Bhabanipur after she lost in Nandigram against BJP’s Suvendu Adhikari in the 2021 Assembly election. The TMC chief had secured over 70% of the votes, followed by BJP’s Priyanka Tibrewal and CPI(M) candidate Srijib Biswas.

A total of 1,60,313 registered voters on the electoral rolls were eligible to vote in the 2026 Assembly election in the Bhabanipur seat.
