Bharat Ranbhoomi Darshan Expedition Flagged Off In Dwarka To Honour War Heroes

Telangana governor Jishnu Dev Varma flagged off the Bharat Ranbhoomi Darshan Expedition from Dwarka, uniting Army, Navy and BSF to honor war heroes.

The Regiment of Artillery, in collaboration with the gunners of the Indian Navy and the Border Security Force (BSF), Telangana governor Jishnu Dev Varma flagged off the Bharat Ranbhoomi Darshan Expedition from Dwarka, Gujarat, on February 3, stated an official release.

The flag-off ceremony saw the presence of senior military officers, veterans, civil administration representatives, NCC Cadets, school children and citizens of Dwarka. Patriotic fervour filled the atmosphere as their performances reflected the unbreakable bond between the army and citizens.

According to the release, the expedition team will traverse over 3,400 kilometres along India’s western frontier, covering significant border regions of Gujarat and Rajasthan, before culminating at the National War Memorial in the national capital.

The expedition aims to revisit historic battlefields, pay homage at war memorials, interact with border villagers and veterans, honouring the legacy of the bravehearts.

“Flagging off the expedition from Dwarka highlights the deep civilisational roots and unwavering national spirits that have guided India through centuries of challenge", the release stated.

The coastal city also holds significance from the strategic viewpoint as it reinforces the Navy’s role in safeguarding the nation’s maritime frontiers.

The Bharat Ranbhoomi Darshan Expedition is a subtle reminder of the Indian Army’s commitment to the nation’s security. Honouring the sacrifices of India’s war heroes, it celebrates the jointmanship among the Army, Navy and the Border Security Force (BSF).
