Bigg Boss Malayalam 7: Akbar Khan’s wife hits back at Shanavas over 'leering' remark, Calls it a ‘Cheap Strategy’

Tensions are soaring inside the Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 7 house, and it seems the drama is now spilling over beyond the walls of the show. In the latest episode, contestant Shanavas made a controversial remark about fellow housemate Akbar Khan, accusing him of leering at co-contestant Gizele Thakral, a statement that has triggered a strong response from Akbar’s wife, Shereen Khan.During a private conversation with Gizele in the episode, Shanavas claimed, "I’ve seen Akbar looking at you in a very bad way. God promise, I saw it. He knew I caught him and he smiled at me too."The comment shocked many, including Gizele, who immediately came to Akbar’s defense. She stated that Akbar treats her like a sister and that they share a respectful friendship. Despite this, Shanavas insisted she was avoiding the topic, further fuelling controversy.

The incident quickly gained attention outside the house, prompting Shereen Khan to respond through a video message posted on Akbar’s social media account.“What a bad comment is that! Even Gizele is saying they are like brother and sister. They are good friends. They don’t mind, I don’t mind — so what’s Shanavas’ problem? It’s his cheap strategy. I know my husband well and I don’t care,” she stated firmly.

Shereen’s video has since gone viral, with many fans applauding her for standing by her husband and calling out what she termed as a deliberate attempt to malign Akbar’s image.

Meanwhile, Shanavas is under increasing fire from viewers for his misogynistic remarks, not only in this instance but also for earlier comments he made about Gizele’s attire, which were widely criticized as regressive and inappropriate.
