The BJP’s national leadership believes that the party is emerging as the sole alternative in Telangana and is optimistic about coming to power in the State, BJP national president Nitin Nabin said on Monday.

Mr. Nabin is believed to have made these remarks while calling on Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao on the occasion of the party’s foundation day. He expressed confidence in the party’s growth in Telangana and conveyed his desire for the BJP to strengthen itself further and emerge victorious in the upcoming elections. He urged party leaders and workers to reach out to the people and seek their blessings.

Earlier, Mr. Rao hoisted the party flag at the BJP State office and called upon every worker to become a voice of the people and protect democracy. He said each worker should act as a stakeholder in building a strong, self-reliantViksit Bharat under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He noted that the BJP has grown into the world’s largest political organisation owing to the selfless sacrifices and dedication of millions of workers over the decades. Foundation Day, he said, was an occasion to reaffirm the party’s commitment to the ideology of ‘Nation First’.

The BJP, he added, is marching forward on the foundations laid by leaders such as Syama Prasad Mukherjee, Deendayal Upadhyaya and Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Former Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, organisational general secretary Chandrasekhar Tiwari, and several senior leaders and party workers were present, according to a press release.
