The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has begun large-scale preparations to celebrate the completion of 12 years of the Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre and two years of Modi Government 3.0.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi first took oath as Prime Minister on May 26, 2014, completing 12 years in office on May 26 this year. PM Modi, however, began his third consecutive term on June 10, marking the beginning of Modi Government 3.0.

As part of the celebrations, the BJP will organise nationwide programmes highlighting the government’s achievements over the past 12 years and its vision of “Viksit Bharat" by 2047. Union Ministers, along with Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of NDA-ruled states, will participate in public outreach programmes across the country.

The party also plans to hold seminars, press conferences, and interactions with eminent personalities from various sectors across states to showcase the government’s work and future roadmap.

A key meeting of Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers from NDA-ruled states is likely to be held in Delhi on June 10. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP president Nitin Navin, senior Union Ministers, and leaders of NDA allies are expected to attend the meeting.

During the meeting, a resolution thanking the Modi government for its achievements over the past 12 years is also likely to be passed.

Ahead of the celebrations, BJP president Nitin Navin on Tuesday chaired a virtual meeting with Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states, party general secretaries, and state BJP presidents to discuss preparations and coordination for the nationwide campaign.

The celebrations will formally begin with a press conference by BJP president Nitin Navin at the party headquarters.
