Bodies of missing couple found dead in Mumbai's Arnala beach mangroves

MUMBAI: Two bodies were Sunday found a distance apart in the deserted mangroves section at Arnala beach by locals who alerted the police, reports Vishal Rajemahadik. They were identified as Shivaji Shinde, 51, and his wife Ranjita, 48, from Virar east. After a post-mortem examination, their bodies were handed to the family who had come to lodge a missing complaint in the afternoon and learnt of the deaths.

A senior cop said it is too early in the probe to determine if they had died by suicide or another reason. They are survived by a 21-year-old daughter, who last spoke to them the night before.
