‘I’ve had them for almost 20 years’

Reality TV personality Brandi Glanville has finally uncovered the source of the frightening health crisis that disrupted her life for nearly three years. The former The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star had initially feared a mysterious parasite was attacking her body after a trip abroad.

Instead, doctors discovered a far more serious underlying issue.

A shocking diagnosis after years of confusion

For years, Glanville searched desperately for answers. She consulted specialist after specialist, undergoing numerous tests that failed to explain her symptoms. The breakthrough came during a detailed sonogram.According to TMZ, the technician reportedly urged immediate action, telling her, “Brandi, you need to get those out yesterday,” and warning, “You have a slow leak in your left implant and your right implant is completely ruptured, and it's in all of your lymph nodes under both arms.”The discovery stunned her because earlier screenings had shown nothing unusual. She later said, “I was shocked, because they're implants that I've had for almost 20 years. They looked fine. They felt fine. The mammogram said they were fine. It wasn't until I had a sonogram…”

How silicone complications worsened her condition

Doctors concluded that leaked silicone had clogged her lymph nodes, disrupting normal drainage and intensifying her facial symptoms. The technician reportedly told her that “whatever’s going on in your face, it can’t drain because your lymph nodes are clogged with silicone.”

Glanville revealed the exhausting extent of her medical journey, saying she had seen “21 doctors” during the ordeal. She also learned a crucial medical fact too late — that breast implants should ideally be replaced every 10 years. The realisation added to her frustration, knowing the issue may have been developing silently for years.

Fear, emergency surgery and determination to recover

Once the diagnosis became clear, surgeons acted quickly. Glanville underwent an urgent procedure to remove the ruptured implants.

She firmly rejected the idea of getting new ones, saying she wanted no more silicone in her body. The fear was overwhelming. She admitted, “I'm just scared to death,” adding, “It’s something that I could die from if I hadn’t figured it out.”During the worst phase of her illness, she tried extreme measures for relief, saying, “I will shake for the rest of my life if this thing gets out of my body.” Despite the trauma, she managed to retain her sense of humour, quipping, “It just sucks to age, like, 20 years overnight.”
