Budget 2026 Expectations LIVE Updates: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to present the Union Budget 2026-27 on February 1, 2026, marking her ninth consecutive Budget and the third full Budget of the Narendra Modi-led NDA 3.0 government. Parliament Budget session from January 28 to April 2: The Budget Session will be held from January 28 to April 2, with Parliament remaining in recess from February 13 till March 9. In a post on X, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said that President Droupadi Murmu had approved the summoning of both Houses of Parliament for the Budget Session 2026 on the recommendation of the Union government. With this presentation, Sitharaman will surpass former finance ministers, including Manmohan Singh, Arun Jaitley, P. Chidambaram, Yashwant Sinha, and Morarji Desai, in the number of Union Budgets presented.
