Three masked men arriving in an i20 car carried out a deliberate late-night petrol bomb attack on a factory owner's vehicle in Punjab’s Ludhiana. The incident was captured on a nearby CCTV camera, providing local law enforcement with crucial footage to trace the perpetrators.

As per the footage, the vehicle carrying the three masked passengers pulled up in the locality late at night. The individuals initially surveyed the street to check for onlookers before executing their plan. Moments later, one of the men stepped out of the vehicle holding a bottle, walked directly over to the parked car, and poured an inflammable chemical over it.

An explosion followed, instantly engulfing the vehicle in massive flames. It was burnt within minutes while the suspects quickly fled the scene.

POLICE LAUNCH MANHUNT

Upon being alerted to the fire, a police team arrived at the spot to investigate the case. The vehicle's owner, factory businessman Muhammad Shaki, filed an official complaint detailing the attack.

In his statement, Shaki specified that his black Mahindra KUV 100 was parked in an empty plot adjacent to his house. Around midnight, three unidentified individuals arriving in an i20 car intentionally targeted his vehicle with an inflammable substance before driving away.

The Ludhiana Police have registered a formal case under Section 326(A) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Investigators are currently analysing the digital footprints and vehicle details from the security footage to identify and arrest the attackers.
