Caught on dashcam: Men swarm car, attack family on Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway

A family travelling in a car on the Bengaluru–Mysuru Expressway was allegedly attacked after a group of men intercepted their vehicle and physically assaulted them.

The incident, captured on the dashcam of a vehicle travelling behind, has since gone viral on social media.

The family comprised a man, his wife, their children and an elderly woman, all travelling in a Maruti Suzuki Alto.

The 52-second video begins with vehicles moving along the expressway before the Alto comes to a halt. Moments later, a group of men rushes towards the family's car.

The men are seen shouting at the driver before forcefully opening the driver's door and physically assaulting him.

As the attack escalates, an occupant of another vehicle steps out in an apparent attempt to intervene.

Despite this, the assailants drag the driver out of the car, while a woman from the Alto also steps out, seemingly trying to stop the assault.

Police are yet to issue an official statement or confirm whether any arrests have been made. Action in the case is awaited.
