A six-year-old student was injured after being run over by a teacher’s car inside the premises of Little Blossom School in Igatpuri, Nashik.
The incident occurred during school dismissal when the child was reportedly tying his shoelaces. The car, driven by teacher Yash Kadam, allegedly struck the student, causing a head injury. The child received four stitches and is currently in stable condition.
Following the accident, a complaint was lodged at Igatpuri police station against the teacher and the school management under provisions of the Indian Penal Code 2023 and the Motor Vehicles Act.
The complainant alleged that the school provided misleading information about the incident, attempted to withhold CCTV footage, and tried to suppress the matter.
CCTV footage of the accident has since surfaced, prompting serious concerns over student safety within the school campus.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
