US-Israel-Iran War: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday (local time) claimed that the ceasefire between the United States and Iran does not include Hezbollah, adding that Israeli military operations against the militant group in Lebanon would continue despite the truce.
While issuing a press statement a day after the ceasefire announcement, the Israeli leader said, “A ceasefire with Iran will not include Hezbollah. We are continuing to hit Hezbollah."
As the ceasefire was announced on Wednesday morning, Israel carried out its largest strikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon since the war began, hitting targets across the country.

According to the Israeli military, around 50 fighter jets dropped nearly 160 bombs on about 100 targets within just 10 minutes. The strikes were carried out across Beirut, the Beqaa Valley and southern Lebanon, in what the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) called as a major coordinated operation.
In a statement, Hezbollah condemned Israel’s “barbaric aggression" and warned that would launch attacks if Israeli forces failed to halt military operations and withdraw from southern Lebanon by 11:00 GMT.
“If Israel does not stop its attacks and withdraw from the south of Lebanon by 11:00 GMT, we will begin our attacks on Israel," the group said in a statement, sharply escalating tensions along the border.
Netanyahu clarified for a second time that Hezbollah was never a part of the ceasefire agreement.
“Israel also supports the US effort to ensure that Iran no longer poses a nuclear, missile and terror threat to America, Israel, Iran’s Arab neighbors and the world," Netanyahu’s office said in a statement earlier today.
“The United States has told Israel that it is committed to achieving these goals, shared by the US, Israel and Israel’s regional allies, in the upcoming negotiations," the statement added.
“The two-week ceasefire does not include Lebanon," it said.
“We accomplished together massive achievements," Netanyahu said, adding, “our fighters on the front, and you in the rear."

He said that the “bottom line" of the campaign is that “Israel is stronger than ever, and Iran is weaker than ever."
Netanyahu also made it clear that the two-week ceasefire does not mark the end of hostilities. “We have an agreement for a ceasefire for two weeks, and this does not mean the end of the war," he said.
Reiterating Israel’s military posture, Netanyahu declared that Israel “is ready to return to fighting at any time," warning that “the finger is on the trigger".
