Centre releases ₹387.53 crore 15th Finance Commission funds to Telangana

The Central government has released the third installment of 15th Finance Commission grants, allocating ₹387.53 crore to Telangana. Official sources said the funds were released following the completion of Gram Panchayat elections. With this tranche, the State has so far received ₹1,034.42 crore under the Commission’s allocations.

Despite this release, the State government said that Telangana is still awaiting nearly ₹2,000 crore in pending Finance Commission funds from the Centre.

Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Danasari Anasuya urged the Union Government to expedite the release of the remaining dues. She directed officials to clear all pending bills immediately and to speed up priority infrastructure works in rural areas, using the newly released funds.
