Centre removes Turkish firm Celebi from ground handling at Mumbai airport

MUMBAI: BJP state president Ravindra Chavan on Friday said that the central government has removed Celebi, the Turkish ground handling agency, from its role at Mumbai airport.Chavan made the announcement at the state BJP headquarters while welcoming several labour leaders into the party.He said the leaders had long objected to Celebi handling ground operations at the airport.

“I asked them to share their correspondence, and before I could approach the Centre, it had already taken the decision,” Chavan said.
