Raipur: In arguably the first such move for an elected govt not just in Chhattisgarh but across the country, the state cabinet will hold a two-day ‘Chintan Shivir’ (brainstorming camp) at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur on July 4 and 5, with the focus on strengthening governance, administrative reforms and policy implementation. The camp, being organised for the third consecutive year, will bring together ministers, senior bureaucrats and eminent experts from across the country to deliberate on ways to make governance more effective, transparent and citizen-centric, Chief minister Vishnu Deo Sai said on Thursday. He added that the interaction with leading scholars and domain experts would provide an opportunity for the cabinet to draw upon diverse experiences and best practices in governance.“The discussions will focus on improving the administrative functions, further strengthening good governance in the state,” the CM said. The annual exercise is part of the state govt’s effort to review governance practices, improve policy execution and enhance public service delivery through greater coordination between ministers and the bureaucracy. The sessions at the two-day camp are expected to cover administrative efficiency, innovation in governance and strategies for improving citizen-centric service delivery.
