A Chennai MTC bus driver suffered a heart attack while driving, causing the vehicle to run out of control and fatally hit a 65-year-old pedestrian.

A 65-year-old man died after a bus lost control and hit him on a busy Chennai road. According to The Times Of India, the incident happened on Sunday, when the driver of the bus suffered a heart attack while he was driving.
There were no passengers on the bus at the time of incident, as per the report. The vehicle also crashed into three cars in the area.
Both the pedestrian and the driver died on the spot.
According to the details, the driver was operating the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) bus on route 70C, which runs between Koyambedu and Tambaram.
At nearly 6 am on Sunday, while heading from the Vedapalani depot to the CMBT depot, the driver collapsed on the steering wheel while crossing a hotel.
As the bus ran out of control, it first hit a pedestrian and then crashed into some vehicles on the roadside, according to the report.
Witnesses rushed to the spot and broke open the window to pull the driver out, while many others helped the pedestrian.
Both were rushed to a hospital where they were declared brought dead.
The report claimed that investigations into the accident revealed that the driver had complained of chest discomfort but had then decided to complete the drive.
Meanwhile, the bodies were sent for a postmortem, and a case was registered.
In a separate incident, four members of a family were killed and 10 others injured when the minibus they were travelling in collided with a truck from behind on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Rajasthan’s Kota on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Geeta Soni (70), her two sons, Anil Soni (48) and Brijesh Soni (55), and her son-in-law, Suresh Soni (45).
The incident occurred around 3.30 am on Sunday.
Around 14–15 members of a jeweller’s family were travelling on a minibus and returning to Karauli after an engagement party on Saturday.
The driver of the vehicle allegedly fell asleep and rammed into a truck from behind.
