CHENNAI: The emerging issues and interdisciplinary challenges across the domains of law, management, and social sciences were discussed at a two-day international conference in the city on Aug 22 and 23.Organised by the department of research and development, Saveetha School of Law, the meet saw paper presentations and panel discussions by scholars from various fields.Scholars presented innovative research on themes such as governance and legal reforms, management strategies for a global economy, and the role of social sciences in addressing contemporary challenges. The discussions emphasized the significance of interdisciplinary approaches in solving real-world problems and highlighted innovative practices for fostering sustainable development.
Among those invited for the meet were the state minister for minority affairs S M Nasar, Rajya Sabha member and senior advocate P Wilson, commissioner of income tax (appeal) V Justin, and the commissioner of income tax, V Nandakumar.Prof Asha Sundaram, principal, Saveetha School of Law, SIMATS, served as the convener. The conference not only provided a platform for intellectual exchange but also reinforced SIMATS’s commitment to promoting cutting-edge research and nurturing future leaders in law, management, and social sciences, said a press release from the university.
