RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh cabinet on Tuesday cleared the allocation of 90 acres of land in Nava Raipur at a concessional premium rate to encourage the establishment of IT/IITES industries to attract private sector investment, create fresh employment opportunities, and accelerate state’s industrial growth.
Chief minister Vishnu Deo Sai chaired the meeting at Secretariat also approved procurement of pulses for distribution under public distribution scheme. The govt said that the presence of IT companies in Naya Raipur will not only boost the region’s technical and economic activities but also contribute to urbanisation and infrastructure development, benefiting local residents through direct and indirect opportunities. The cabinet also approved the procurement of pulses for distribution under the Public Distribution System (PDS) in Scheduled area pockets of the state. Families under the antyodaya and priority categories will continue to receive two kg of gram per month, with procurement to be carried out by the state civil supplies corporation through the NeML e-auction platform. The purchase will be made with a transaction/service charge of 0.25% or less for the financial year 2024–25. Additionally, it was decided that beneficiaries who did not receive their entitled quota of gram between July and November 2025 will be provided the pending allocation by December 2025.
