Chittorgarh police nab wanted criminal with Rs 25,000 bounty

Bhilwara: Chittorgarh police Thursday arrested a wanted criminal, Prakash Puri, carrying a reward of Rs 25,000, after tracking him across multiple districts in Rajasthan.The accused, a resident of Ramji Ka Gol Phanta under Gudhamalani police station in Balotra district, was arrested from Kawas in Barmer district by a team from Mangalwad police station.Police said 13 criminal cases are pending against Puri under various laws, including the NDPS Act, PDPP Act, Arms Act, Rajasthan Prisons Act and attempt to murder.Chittorgarh SP Dharmendra Singh said a special team was constituted under ASP Mukul Sharma and Mangalwad SHO Bhagwanlal to trace absconding and wanted criminals. The team conducted searches in Udaipur, Jodhpur, Gudhamalani and Barmer before apprehending the accused.
