Class 8 student electrocuted while playing football in Thrissur

An Class 8 student died of electrocution after coming into contact with a damaged earthing wire while playing football with his friends at his house in Puthur, Thrissur, on Monday night. The deceased was identified as Badrinath, son of Ramesh, a resident of Puthur.

The accident occurred while Badrinath was playing football in the courtyard of his house with his friends. During the game, he reportedly came into contact with a corroded earthing wire near the main electrical switchboard and suffered an electric shock.

He was rushed to Jubilee Mission Hospital in Thrissur, but doctors could not save his life. Badrinath was a Class 8 student at Gurudeva Vidhyaniketan School, Puthur.
