Spanish sensation Lamine Yamal courted controversy over his 18th birthday celebrations as talks of the teenage prodigy hiring ‘little people’ for entertainment for the party ran amok.

A recent footage of the dwarves arriving at the party has made the rounds on social media. The celebration was reported to have been a high-ticket affair with stars from across the board converging at Olivella.

The party sparked outrage as Spanish disability rights groups and the Spanish Ministry of Social rights did not take kindly to the southpaw’s fancies.

Yamal enjoyed a standout season after a successful Euro campaign where he led La Roja to the UEFA title. He maintained his impressive form with exceptional performances for the Catalan club throughout the season.

Yamal scored nine goals and provided fifteen assists in Hansi Flick’s debut campaign, further enriching the Blaugrana’s trophy collection. The teenager also netted five goals and set up four more in the UCL before the Spanish giants were dramatically eliminated by Inter Milan.

Yamal shone brightly in Spain’s 5-4 victory over France in the semifinal of the UEFA Nations League on Thursday. The 17-year-old’s market value continues to soar with each game he plays.

Barcelona dethroned arch-rivals Real Madrid in La Liga, amassing 88 points from 38 matches, with 28 wins, four draws, and only six losses. Real Madrid trailed by four points, finishing second, while Atletico Madrid secured third place with 76 points.

Yamal, who is set to wear the fabled No.10 jersey of Barcelona, extended his contract with the Catalan club up until 2031 as he signed on Wednesday.
