Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday mooted integrating traffic signals across Hyderabad with advanced technology and artificial intelligence to improve traffic management and reduce commuter inconvenience, particularly during rains.The proposal was discussed during a meeting at Bodhi Pavilion in the MCR HRD Institute, where Analog founder and CEO Alex Kipman and MEIL managing director PV Krishna Reddy presented a pilot project for Hyderabad 's traffic system that their newly formed joint venture plans to take up.

They explained how physical intelligence, including sensors and robotics, could support safer, faster and more responsive urban transport networks.According to a communique issued by the chief minister 's office (CMO), the CM asked the two companies to explore practical applications that can deliver immediate solutions to urban challenges.The JV 's presentation covered the concept of next-generation intelligent infrastructure and the development of cognitive cities, where systems can respond to real-time conditions. Such systems could adjust signal timings based on congestion, clear routes for ambulances and fire tenders, identify water leaks before they worsen, and manage power supply according to demand.
Analog and MEIL also highlighted emerging technologies aimed at helping rapidly expanding cities improve govt efficiency, strengthen citizen services and plan infrastructure using data. In the presence of the CM, the two organisations signed a memorandum of understanding to deepen technical cooperation and promote innovation-led infrastructure development.Deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka, ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy and Jupally Krishna Rao, chief secretary Sanjay Jaju, adviser K Ramakrishna Rao, and Invest Telangana CEO and additional MD of Hyderabad Metro Rail B Ajith Reddy also attended the meeting.
