Lucknow: From expressways stretching across the state and record infrastructure expansion to welfare delivery at scale and rising investor confidence, UP’s development journey over the past nine years has emerged as one of the country’s most widely discussed governance transformations.With the state increasingly positioning itself as a major economic and industrial hub, The Times of India will host the ‘Defining Years of Transformation: From Progress to Prosperity — Uttar Pradesh Leads Ahead’ conclave on Thursday. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will attend the event as the chief guest and address the gathering during the inaugural session.The event will bring together policymakers, ministers, senior bureaucrats, industry leaders and experts for discussions on the state’s evolving development model under the leadership of chief minister Yogi Adityanath.To be held at Hotel Taj Mahal Lucknow from 10 am, the conclave will focus on changes witnessed across sectors such as infrastructure, industry, connectivity, healthcare, education, women’s empowerment, social welfare and skill development since 2017.It will also feature special addresses and interviews with deputy chief ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya, Brajesh Pathak, MSME minister Rakesh Sachan, and social welfare minister Asim Arun, among others.
A key segment of the conclave will be a high-level panel discussion on ‘Nine Years of Holistic Development’, bringing together senior govt officials and industry leaders to examine Uttar Pradesh’s growth journey across sectors.The discussion will focus on industrial development, infrastructure expansion, employment opportunities and social progress while also exploring themes such as investment promotion, women-led entrepreneurship, skill and vocational education, and citizen-centric governance.The event is being organised in association with Invest UP, Lucknow Development Authority, Union Bank of India, SACHIS (State Agency for Comprehensive Health and Integrated Services) and Social Welfare Department, UP.To be attended by people from all walks of life, including students, the conclave will also examine how the state is seeking to transition from a phase of progress-driven governance to one focused on long-term prosperity, economic scale and inclusive growth.
