Coal India Limited has begun the online application process for Assistant Foreman Trainee posts through its subsidiary Northern Coalfields Limited. Eligible diploma holders in engineering disciplines can submit their applications online.
The last date to apply is March 5, 2026. Candidates are advised to complete the registration process well before the deadline. The recruitment will be conducted through a computer-based test. Coal India Recruitment vacancy details and eligibility criteria
As per the official notification, a total of 270 vacancies have been announced for Assistant Foreman Trainee Grade C posts.
The vacancies are available in Electrical, Mechanical, and Electronics and Telecommunication disciplines.Candidates must have a three-year diploma in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognised institute. Higher qualifications in the same field may also be considered as per company rules.The minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 30 years for general category candidates. Age relaxation will be provided to candidates from reserved categories as per government norms.
Selection process and pay scale
The selection process will consist of a Computer-Based Test (CBT). The question paper will include technical subjects related to the candidate’s discipline along with general aptitude. Candidates will be shortlisted based on merit in the CBT.Selected candidates will undergo a training period and will receive salary and allowances as per company norms. After successful completion of training, candidates will be placed in the regular pay scale and will be entitled to other employee benefits.
