Andrew Tate Reacts as Fresh Extradition Talk Surfaces and Hong Kong Stay Raises New Questions (Image via Getty)
Andrew Tate has responded after reports said UK lawmakers are discussing ways to bring him back to face criminal charges. In a video posted on X, Tate spoke directly about the situation and questioned why no country has been able to extradite him so far.
He said he is currently in Hong Kong and is not trying to hide. He also claimed that similar attempts were made when he was in other countries like the Bahamas, Turkey, and Dubai. In the video, Andrew Tate openly challenged authorities, saying, “Now, I’m in Hong Kong. It’s all over the media. They’re saying extradite me. Why do I never get extradited? Here I am. I’m in Hong Kong. I’m going nowhere. Come get me.” He also suggested that there is not enough proof against him, which is why no action has been successful.
Andrew Tate further said that people are starting to see through what he called a targeted effort against him. He added, “People are awake now. After COVID, after the migrant votes, after the false elections, everybody knows that you’re trying to stitch me up for telling the truth.”
Andrew Tate reacts strongly as Hong Kong lawmakers Joe Chan Cho-kwong and Johnny Ng Kit-chong explain legal limits on extradition requests
Joe Chan Cho-kwong, a lawmaker with a background in policing, said clearly, “There are still mechanisms, as they could reach out to Hong Kong police through Interpol. If the UK and Romania do not do so, there is nothing that Hong Kong police can do.” His statement made it clear that Hong Kong cannot act on its own in such matters.Another lawmaker, Johnny Ng Kit-chong, also spoke on the issue and said the same thing in simple terms.
He said, “Hong Kong upholds the rule of law, and we should act according to our legislation. The duty does not lie with Hong Kong.” This means the responsibility to start the process lies fully with the countries that want action. The report also pointed out two key facts. First, Hong Kong does not have an extradition agreement with Romania. Second, its agreement with the United Kingdom has been paused since 2022 after new national security laws were introduced. At the same time, videos of Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate have been going viral online. The clips show them in Lan Kwai Fong, a popular nightlife area in Hong Kong, where people were seen taking photos and selfies with them. A source close to them told the South China Morning Post that both brothers had always wanted to visit the city.Back in his video, Andrew Tate continued to defend himself and said the repeated media coverage is not backed by strong proof. He said, “All you can do is put in the news over and over again in the media. We need to extradite Andrew Tate.”
