Khairatabad District Congress Committee president Motha Rohit Mudiraj on Wednesday lodged a complaint at the Abids police station against BRS leader and former Chennur MLA Balka Suman, alleging that his recent remarks were “provocative and capable of inciting violence”.

In the complaint, Mr. Rohit alleged that Mr. Suman had made statements encouraging people to attack government offices, block railway tracks and indulge in violent activities, which, he said, posed a threat to law and order in the State.

Describing the remarks as irresponsible and dangerous, the Congress leader urged the police to immediately register a case against Mr. Suman and take stringent action against him.

He said such statements could seriously disturb peace and public order and sought the arrest of the former MLA to prevent any untoward incidents.
